Thank You Letter from Melissa Rey
John Ediger and I would like to thank everyone for allowing us to speak at your meeting last week. We believe that the vision and mission of the Cabrillo Education Foundation (CEF), formerly Back to Basics, directly supports your organization's educational mission.
I think both organizations are in agreement that to enhance the health and vitality of our community we need to have an exceptional public sc hool system here on the Coast. Establishing an Endowment Fund is one very important element necessary to achieve that goal.
Once the CEF Endowment Fund reaches two million dollars a sustained flow of revenue will be released to our local public schools elevateing them from the status of "very good" to "outstanding".
Since every dollar donated before the end of August will be matched, now is the time to donate. We still have around $175,000.00 dollars just sitting on the table waiting to be matched. We all realize that the quality of life in our community depends largely on the quality of our local public schools. Through the Endowment Fund, every donation becomes a lasting gift that will benefit our students and community for generations to come.
Warm Regards,
Melissa Rey
